DE-IONIZED vs DISTILLED
Spectra Chrome’s unique silver solutions are water-based. The better the quality of water used for silver solutions, the better the quality of silver finish. Distilled water does not have the purity of de-ionized water, and is not recommended for use in the Spectra Chrome process. Most distilled water has a Totally Dissolved Solids (TDS) reading of .001 to .009. High quality de-ionized water always has a reading of .000.
