SAGOLA DISPOSABLE PAINT GUN CUPS (DPC)
Once you’ve tried the Sagola DPC™ System, you’ll wonder how you ever painted without it! It’s the perfect accessory for basecoat and topcoat application in the Spectra Chrome process, and it will simply revolutionize the way you paint!
The Sagola DPC System is a closed paint system that eliminates the need to use a separate paint filter. Paint can be simply mixed in a DPC liner bag that seals tightly to a built-in filter cap. The liner bag and filter cap are easily mounted to the top of the paint gun using a dedicated adapter. As freshly filtered paint is dispensed, the liner bag collapses and forces paint into the gun. This feature makes it possible to spray the gun at any angle – even upside down! The liner bag and filter cap are disposable, leaving only the spray gun and adapter to clean. Here at Spectra Chrome headquarters, we love the Sagola DPC System – and our customers do, too!

SWAP COLORS WITH EASE!
The entire Sagola DPC System is easily twist-mounted to the top of the paint gun – making it a breeze to quickly detach and re-attach. This is invaluable in the Spectra Chrome process, enabling you to quickly change between multiple colors of topcoat.
Only the adapter and spray gun need to be cleaned between color changes, by quickly flushing them out with lacquer thinner. This saves lots of cleanup time and greatly increases productivity.
The Sagola DPC System is available in small (6.8 oz.) and large (20 oz.) cup sizes; and any spray gun can be converted to use the DPC System with a simple adapter.
CASE STUDY: TIGERBUSA PROJECT
The Tigerbusa was one of the first multi-color Spectra Chrome projects ever created. To simulate the colors found on a tiger’s fur, multiple topcoat colors were applied wet-on-wet to create a smooth, reflective color gradient. Copper was sprayed on top, followed by orange, and then yellow. White fur is found on a tiger’s abdomen and face, so these areas were left chrome.
In all, five colors were blended together to achieve this one-of-a-kind-look. Copper, orange, yellow, chrome, and Topcoat 311 clear (no color) were mixed in the DPC liners. The painter changed out the DPC assembly a total of three times per color – adding up to 12 times in approximately 30 minutes. When spraying a multitude of Spectra Chrome colors wet-on-wet, the Sagola DPC System is simply invaluable!

CASE STUDY: MINIATURE CAR BODIES
We were asked to spray hundreds of miniature car bodies for a well-known toy manufacturer. The car bodies were made of plastic, painted steel, and raw die-cast metal. The manufacturer asked us to coat them with every reflective Spectra Chrome color we could think of.
We mixed up all 7 Spectra Chrome colors – red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, and black – along with clear Topcoat 311. In all, eight DPC cups were used during the project; continually being swapped in and out to provide infinite color options!
